You might wonder how meeting with me will support you in the pain or distress you are currently in. I believe that knowing yourself offers you more options in life. The confidential space and therapeutic relationship can lead to a more compassionate and intimate relationship with one's self, as well as with others. This in itself can ease anxiety and depression. I can work with you in the 'here and now', as well as supporting you to explore your past. This can help you know and understand yourself and your patterns better, and ultimately aid you in finding new and more creative ways to resolve the problem or crisis you are experiencing. Contact me for a free 30 minute consultation and we can assess your situation and see if we'd like to work together.

I practice with Transactional Analysis and can work with a broad range of issues and themes, including anxiety, trauma, depression, childhood, and relationships. I also have specialised training for working with: Eating Disorders (both sufferers and carers), sexual violence and domestic violence, and Performers and Artists. I understand that sometimes it can be hard to define what the issue itself is that has brought you to therapy, only that you know something is deeply wrong and you wish for change and peace. If so, I am able to do exploratory work with you to find the issue, its cause, and ultimately the path to healing from it.

My previous jobs include working in a nursing home, in mental health units, and for Beat, the Eating Disorder charity; working with people struggling with Binge Eating Disorder, Anorexia, and with carers who are supporting a young person with ARFID (Avoidant Restrictive Food Intake Disorder). I have over 200 hours clinical experience. My clinical placements have included working with people who have been victims of childhood abuse, sexual violence, and/or domestic violence. As well as working for a university, doing short term therapy with the students, all of whom were completing creative arts degrees. My qualifications are: BA English and Drama, MA Creative Writing, MA Acting, MSc Psychology, MSc Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy (Pending).
