Therapists
I am an Integrative Arts Psychotherapist. I can draw on various modalities, from person-centered, psychodynamic, Transactional Analysis, and Gestalt, among others, to find the best way to meet the individual needs of each unique client. The arts are also a powerful form of therapy that can provide deeper insight when the words are difficult to find to express your emotions and experiences.
I am empathic and intuitive and can sense what is needed to make difficult moments tolerable. To create links between patterns, themes, behaviours, and beliefs, to help clarify thoughts, and deepen your understanding. Help rebuild new connections with yourself and relationships with others by establishing healthier ways of being, communicating, and coping. The aim is to collaborate by providing a safe space where you can be your authentic self to feel, be seen, be heard & be understood. In my sessions, I will encourage you to work with any one or more of the seven art forms - Visual Art, Puppetry, Clay, Poetry, Sand Tray, Music, and Bodywork/Movement. Don't worry; this is not to base our work on your artistic ability. The arts are used as a means of expression and exploring your concerns.
I have had various experiences in the Arts, Design, and Education. I aim to bring purpose, meaning, and inner peace not only into my own life but also into the lives of others. I have worked as a therapist in secondary schools, where I have helped neurodivergent students. I have also worked with university students, NHS, and MIND. To provide and support young adults and adults. I have successfully assisted clients dealing with depression, anxiety, grief, relationship and family issues, low self-esteem, stress, abuse, and other difficulties. Together, we explore the potential underlying causes of these challenges.
