I originally trained as an actor, but found that the part of acting that I loved was in fact not the performance of it, but the challenge of getting to know myself on a deeper level in order to explore and embody other characters. It was at this stage that I realised that I was deeply curious about people - how our background, culture and relationships shape who we are. It was this that lead me to my training in psychotherapy and to the belief that we hold the resources in order to create the change that we need inside of ourselves, but that the role of a psychotherapist is to enable access to deep self awareness and confidence in the people that we work with, in order for them to bring out meaningful, long lasting change in their lives. Every client I meet is an individual, with their own story and their own unique reasons for coming to therapy. Therefore I work to create a relationship with my clients in which I am able to adapt my therapeutic approach to their needs, as opposed to offering only one modality or 'style' of psychotherapy. Often, people stepping into my counselling room feel lost, overwhelmed, or needing a change in their lives, so it is important that my clients feel supported and safe in their sessions with me, at the same time as being able to explore what they perhaps don't feel that they can with other people in their lives. Therefore I offer a supportive, creative and appropriately challenging therapy approach in order to work towards a deeper sense of self worth, self confidence and self motivation.

During our first therapy session, we would use this to gain a clear understanding of what you are hoping to get out of your time in therapy. We would also use our first session for me to get to know your background, your relationships and your culture, as the more I understand about you and your story so far, the more equipped I will be to understand how we might work together most effectively. You have complete autonomy to bring whatever you wish to during our sessions and I work vigilantly from a place in which no detail, thought or feeling is insignificant, or 'smaller' than any other. It is my role not only to listen intently to what you are bringing to our sessions, but to highlight to you anything I feel you are bringing, that could be useful to our work, but may not have been noticed, or discussed before. We will work towards a deeper understanding of the self through me asking open questions relevant to what you are bringing, sharing observations on how certain relationships or topics are discussed and doing exercises or 'mini experiments' to help work through certain challenges. The most important part of therapy is that we create a relationship in which there is trust, as it is this that enables us to explore feelings and challenges in our therapy.

I am an experienced and fully qualified counselling therapist, who adapts their therapy approach to each individual, depending on what they need from counselling therapy. I believe that every individual who comes to counselling has the resource to create the change that they need - and it is my role as a counselling therapist to deepen your sense of self and your confidence, to enable meaningful and life long change. Whether you have experienced a traumatic event you need to work though, are facing challenges in your relationships, or are feeling lost in life, it can feel overwhelming and like you don't know where to start. This is why choosing who to work with as your therapist can also feel overwhelming, too. I offer a free of charge, fifteen minute consultation, either face to face or online, so that both myself and you can ensure that we would be a good fit to work together. I am based in West London, but I offer face to face sessions just next to Earls Court tube station, on Chiswick High Road, or on Northcote Rd, in Clapham. I also offer online sessions. I'm experienced working with challenges including depression, anxiety, bereavement, ADHD, relationship problems, family issues, low self-esteem, co-dependency and trauma. I have early morning and evening spaces available on a first come, first served basis.
