You may have heard counselling referred to as a ‘safe space’. But what does that mean? Simply put, it's a physical and mental space where you can be yourself without fear of being judged or rejected. It's a place where you can feel validated, supported and comfortable enough to show raw emotion, vulnerability, or explore the parts of yourself that you don’t like, or are ashamed of. That's what I can create for you. Book a free 15-minute consultation with me to discuss what it is you are looking for and to see if I might be the right person to help you. Please email summerscounselling2@gmail.com or call 07724 879921
I'll support you in talking about the current challenges you are facing; together we might look back on your life to help identify patterns of behaviour that have developed over time and how they may be impacting your life now. I believe this journey of exploration and understanding to be at the heart of change. Focusing on your autonomy, and self-awareness, my mission is to empower you to make informed choices towards a more content life. I have experience of working with a range of needs, both specific (anxiety, depression, trauma, substance use) and general (feeling helpless or stuck, lacking a sense of purpose or meaning in life). I work with a range of clients from different cultures, backgrounds and age groups, providing accessible and inclusive counselling.
I am a trained Integrative Counsellor which means I draw upon a variety of methods to suit your individual needs. I have a background in marketing so understand the challenges that often arise from working in a demanding environment. I also has several years' experience of counselling vulnerable adults in recovery from drug and alcohol use.
