Therapists

Warm, empathic, experienced and good-humoured, I work 1:1 with adults and young people (16+), primarily face-to-face, from secure, comfortable therapy rooms in London (principally Clapham and Battersea), Brighton & Hove and online. I am open to working open-ended or fixed-term.  Please do contact me to arrange a free 20-minute telephone or online appointment. During this initial consultation, I can answer queries you may have, we can discuss your concerns and goals for therapy, and explore how I can help you to achieve these goals, if you wish.

I am a BACP-registered integrative counsellor meaning my approach draws from different models (person-centred, attachment and transactional analysis) to best help you whether you are experiencing a sense of crisis, have something specific to work through, or a more general need to talk. Together we will explore concerns, identify and gently challenge patterns, limiting beliefs and ingrained narratives to facilitate meaningful change at your own pace. I believe that our past affects our present and I will help you to join the dots to make sense of your issues and your self. I can help with a wide range of issues, including anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, imposter syndrome, relationship and family difficulties, trauma, addiction, identity, life transitions and loss. I support people from diverse backgrounds, cultures, ages, gender and neurodivergence (particularly ADHD and autistic spectrum), working inclusively with compassion and respect.  I have particular experience working with creatives, the music industry, performing arts, addiction and boarding school related issues.

Following a Politics degree and work with minority arts funding, I eventually found my way into the UK music industry where I worked for over twenty five years before taking the life-changing decision to retrain as a counsellor. During my training I worked in drug and alcohol services supporting clients with recovery from addiction. I have worked within schools and colleges counselling children and young people as well as music students. I am currently a counsellor at a music and performing arts college alongside my private therapy practice in Brighton and London. I have experience of the impacts of boarding school, ruptured attachments and addiction.
