I am a psychologist specialising in working with families and children aged 4 to 17, offering in-depth, tailored support to help navigate emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges. As the Director of Wainwright Family Support, I am passionate about creating compassionate and nurturing environments that allow families to work through difficulties together. My services include child therapy, family therapy, parental support, autism and ADHD assessments, and school intervention supports. With over a decade of experience in child and family therapeutic support, I work collaboratively to empower families, build resilience, and foster positive relationships.

I take an integrative therapeutic approach, drawing on systemic, person-centered, and cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) theories. This approach allows me to tailor interventions to the unique needs of each family, considering the wider systems and relationships that influence their lives. I aim to create a safe, empathetic space where families feel heard and understood, while empowering them to develop their own strategies to manage challenges. I work collaboratively, helping families recognise and utilise their strengths, while also addressing areas of difficulty to create sustainable change. My approach is particularly informed by my research and practice in life transitions, family dynamics, and the impact of societal expectations on caregiving roles.

I began my journey in psychology with a deep interest in understanding family dynamics and child development. My academic background includes a undergraduate and masters in Psychology, as well as the soon completion of my doctorate in psychology where my research has focused on fathers’ experiences of paternity leave and transitions within family systems. I have since expanded my expertise to include specialised training in autism assessments (ADOS-2) and ADHD evaluations. My career has been enriched by diverse experiences, including supporting children in Montessori and mainstream educational settings, collaborating with schools to adapt environments for individual needs, and providing family therapy to address challenges holistically. These experiences, combined with my personal values of connectedness, kindness, and action, drive my work in empowering families and children.
