I use a systemic approach in all my work, which means that I will encourage understanding what has brought you to therapy with a relational kens, and will try to help make sense of how things have come to be as they are, what might keep things from getting better, what strengths we can build on and to start setting meaningful, realistic and positive goals with and for you. Within all my therapy, I offer a safe, confidential, nurturing and non- judgmental environment where I will support you to express your thoughts and feelings and to learn new skills, helping you to become healthier and happier. Individual Therapy Depression, fear, and anxiety are some of the most common and uncomfortable emotions that we can experience at some point in our lives. While these emotions can be particularly challenging, with support and skill building we can gain control of our emotions rather than being controlled by them. Through the process of therapy, I can help you recover motivation, perspective, and joy that you once had in your life. Family Therapy This can be helpful for when relationships have been impacted by life events or when things have just become very difficult and stuck. It is a great opportunity to talk together about things that matter, identify some common ground and helpful goals and benefit from being in a safe space together where everyone can BE HEARD and find a way to reconnect. Trauma and PTSD When something traumatic happens to us, life can get very difficult. Trauma symptoms like flashbacks, difficulty sleeping, nightmares and constant high anxiety can make it very difficult to get better and process what has happened, and can negatively impact our mood, wellbeing and our relationships. It can be very helpful to get practical hands on help to learn managing trauma symptoms and process what has happened and how this impacts you now in a safe and supportive environment. Couples Therapy Providing support, skills and a safe place for couples to better understand each other’s perspective, enhance conflict resolution, increase communication and intimacy, as well as navigate major life events. Maintaining a happy and healthy relationship can be a challenge when balancing work, illness, redundancy, parenting and daily life stress. Couples therapy will help highlight your strengths and build stronger skills and communication.

I have worked extensively with young people and their families as well as adults around significant mental health concerns, traumatic events, loss and grief, as well as working as a consultant to children's homes, serious youth violence charities and have supported the implementation of innovative systemic CBT projects across London. I believe that everyone has a right to be heard and understood, and to have their story witnessed. I am very interested in people's unique life stories and patterns within families. In my work, I use a range of methodologies ranging from systemic psychotherapy to practical cbt informed goal setting so that we can establish early on what a meaningful goal is for you and how we will help you achieve it. I encourage the use of relaxation strategies and ways of fostering an ongoing commitment to self care. I am always open for feedback so that we can find a way to talk and process together that is bespoke to you and fits your personality and preferences.
