My name is Ilias. I am a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with extensive experience in assisting individuals with a wide range of issues. You can trust that I bring not only professional expertise but also personal experience from my own therapy and supervision, which fuels my commitment to providing therapeutic support that I truly understand. Whether you’re dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship challenges, loss, life transitions, or generally feeling stuck, I’m here to help. Whether you’re new to therapy or have previous experience, I assure you that I will offer support and guidance tailored to your unique needs and situation. My goal is to create a compassionate and safe environment where you can explore your unconscious mind and reflect on its profound impact on your self, your relationships, and your overall sense of being. You might be facing challenges in your life, or a general feeling that things haven’t been quite right for a while, know that taking the first step towards seeking help is incredibly courageous and often the most difficult part. I am here to help and guide you through your therapeutic journey, and to offer you an opportunity to find hope, gain clarity from difficult experiences, and transform your understanding of yourself, others, and the world. Whatever you’re going through, I’m here to listen and support you in gaining a deeper understanding of yourself. Together, we can explore meaningful ways to bring about positive change.

My approach is centred around understanding the deep-rooted patterns and emotional responses that you may be unaware of, yet they may significantly impact your daily life. Together, we will work to uncover these unconscious processes, offering you the chance to gain insight and develop healthier ways of engaging with yourself and those around you. By nurturing a supportive therapeutic relationship, you will be encouraged to express yourself freely and work through those areas of your life where you feel most challenged. This process of self-discovery and healing can pave the way for meaningful change and a more fulfilling life. Sessions are 50 minutes long and I will see you on a weekly, at the same time every week. I offer long term sessions, long-term face-to-face work, online therapy, time-limited. Together we will work in deciding the best plan for your therapy, based on your goals and needs. It all starts with an initial consultation (aka. first session), where we will discuss your needs, goals, and any concerns you may have. Our first session will provide you with a clear understanding of my methods, what you can expect from me, and what is expected of you.

I have a breadth of experience through working in the private, charity and the NHS sector. I have helped people with moderate to severe mental health presentations, including personality disorders and complex trauma. Alongside private practice, I also work in NHS secondary care as a Honorary Psychodynamic Psychotherapist with South London & Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust. In the past, I have held a variety of honorary positions with LGBTQ+ mental health organisations such as the Albany Trust and ELOP. My background is in sexual health and I have worked for some of the largest Sexual Health clinics in the country, such as 56 Dean Street and Mortimer Market Centre. In this way I have acquired a deep knowledge around sex, sexuality, and gender. So by talking to me you can feel assured that I can listen to your intimate concerns and experiences with the respect and insight they deserve. Finally, I have helped people with a wide range of issues, such as anxiety and depression, trauma and abuse, relationship challenges, suicidal thoughts, alcohol and drug use, self-esteem and confidence, and significant life transitions, as well as more complex needs.
