I’m an Integrated psychotherapist, which means I draw on a variety of behavioural and psychotherapeutic approaches to support clients. I specialise in neuro-somatic psychotherapy which incorporates understanding and learning about self through neurological developmental awareness and impact of key relationships and events.
Working with mind and through the body new understanding can arise and allow self-compassion for an individual’s blocks and triggers. This can be supported by learning to connect to and integrate inner sensations, feelings, interoception alongside learning practical skills to balance the nervous system and regulate and resource all parts of the self to individuate and grow. You may benefit from this approach if you are experiencing: Anxiety Depression Panic attacks Stress PTSD and CPTSD Grief Relationship issues Psychological/Physical or sexual abuse Neurodivergence Overwhelm Chronic pain Major Life transitions
I have over 30 years of experience working with minds and bodies. I trained as a nurse originally and worked in the NHS for 25 years alongside training as a therapist. Additionally I have worked in health research and as a wellbeing consultant in a cancer charity. Creating a safe and supportive space for individuals from all backgrounds is of utmost importance to me. A variety of therapeutic approaches aiming to address the unique needs of each person and to provide a supportive environment regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, or neurodivergence.
