I work with neurotypical and neurodiverse children and teenagers from 6-18 years old, who are facing challenges with anxiety, low mood, and depression or have socialising and behavioural difficulties. I also work with children and young people navigating the complexities of bereavement, and the challenges of changes in family dynamics. I am an MBACP integrative Child and Adolescent Counsellor, and a certified positive parenting coach, qualified to work with children, adolescents, and their families. I offer child and adolescent counselling services, and parent coaching sessions in English and Greek.
My approach is child-centred as I adopt a non-directive stance, allowing the child to lead the sessions and support their sense of autonomy. I also work in a relational and attachment-informed manner, aiming to provide a supportive environment, where the child or young person feels comfortable exploring their relational patterns and developing a sense of security. I also utilise play and other creative methods to engage children and adolescents in exploring their emotions. I emphasise establishing a secure and empathetic therapeutic relationship as the foundation of my work with children and young people. I extend my support to families offering separate sessions for parents. We can start with the initial session to explore how I can help you and your child in the best possible way. Additional sessions can be arranged based on individual needs.
Alongside my private practice, I work as a School Counsellor with Place2be and the Catholic Children's Society. Prior to my counselling training, I have worked as a primary and early years teacher in the UK, Germany, and Greece.
