A decade ago, I embarked on a profound journey from São Paulo to England, accompanying my husband on his career path. This transition marked not only a change in geography but also a significant shift in perspective, where the nuances of comfort and familiarity were redefined against the backdrop of a new cultural landscape. Settling in London, amidst its bustling cosmopolitan ambiance, provided fertile ground for the continued exploration of my professional passions, particularly in the realm of psychoanalysis. Institutions such as the Institute of Psychoanalysis and the Center for Freud Analysis and Research served as bastions of intellectual enrichment, fostering not only the expansion of my theoretical knowledge but also the cultivation of practical insights, notably in the field of counseling. The process of acclimatizing to life in the United Kingdom necessitated a profound adaptation, both personally and professionally. Amidst this transition, my engagement with psychoanalytic studies deepened, each academic pursuit and professional interaction contributing to a more nuanced understanding of human behavior and the intricacies of interpersonal dynamics. My tenure in London has been marked by an unwavering commitment to the pursuit of knowledge and professional growth within the field of psychoanalysis. This ongoing journey of self-discovery and intellectual inquiry has positioned me to leverage my expertise in service to others, facilitating meaningful change and fostering psychological well-being within the community.
