I bring a fusion of eastern and western ways of working with the mind and body to my clients, using a therapeutic approach called Core Process Psychotherapy. This mindfulness-based model of psychotherapy has its roots in ancient Buddhist teachings. I hold a compassionate, inclusive and non-judgmental therapeutic space and an expanded perspective of mental health which helps my clients move beyond notions of illnesses and disorders, and to cultivate a connection to their inherent health. I have witnessed how in a safe and collaborative therapeutic relationship, even the most difficult of our experiences in life can become a catalyst for deep personal and spiritual growth. Core Process Psychotherapy is a gentle and compassionate body-based approach that involves moving beyond our thoughts and the busyness of our mind, and reconnecting to the wisdom within our bodies. I have a particular interest in helping clients experiencing anxiety, dissociation, difficulties with sleep, childhood trauma, sexual abuse and spiritual crises.

My therapeutic approach is anchored in the core belief that we all experience mental and emotional distress at some point in our life and that at the heart of our suffering lies the key to our transformation. Mindfulness-based Core Process Psychotherapy centres on cultivating a deep understanding of what's happening in the mind and the body in the present moment. I gently help my clients move towards places of restriction and discomfort, so that they are able to understand and process what the body has been trying to communicate.

In addition to working as a psychotherapist, I am the Co-Founder of SafelyHeldSpaces.org - an initiative which helps provide support for the family and friends of people experiencing altered states, commonly referred to as psychosis. I am also a freelance writer and television news producer.
