If you’re going through a loss or major life change, you may feel overwhelmed by emotions like sadness, anger, confusion, or anxiety about the future. You don’t have to face this alone. I’m Irene, an experienced Integrative Psychotherapeutic Counsellor based in West London and online. I specialise in supporting people through grief and loss — including bereavement, break-ups, infertility, pregnancy loss, chronic illness, and other difficult transitions. I also have extensive experience helping clients manage anxiety and anger, whether these emotions are part of loss or showing up in other areas of life. Together, we can create a safe, compassionate space where you can explore your feelings, understand what’s happening beneath them, and develop coping strategies that really work for you. My aim is to help you move forward with greater resilience, self-understanding, and care for yourself and the people who matter to you.

My therapeutic style is warm, caring, and centred on truly meeting you where you are — in both your thoughts and emotions. Many clients share that they feel deeply seen and validated in our sessions, which often brings a sense of relief and safety. I also integrate gentle psychoeducation, helping you gain a clearer understanding of how you relate to yourself, others, and the world around you. This process can uncover patterns, highlight strengths, and open the door to new strategies for coping, healing, and growth. In our first session, we’ll explore your current situation, personal history, and relationships to get a fuller picture of what’s happening. From there, we can shape the way we work together — sometimes in a practical, structured way, and at other times with more openness and flow, depending on what feels right for you. I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is to provide the space, guidance, and tools to help you make sense of what you’re going through, discover coping and soothing strategies that fit you, and reconnect with your authentic self. The goal is for you to live more fully in the present, with greater compassion for yourself and deeper connection with those you care about. Counselling is a dynamic process, and your needs may shift over time. We will regularly reflect on your progress, celebrate what’s working, and adjust our approach as new challenges arise. I was born and raised in Italy, living most of my Italian years in Rome, and moved to London in 2008. ​ Before training as a therapist, I had 10+ years of corporate career in Planning and Project Management, so I fully understand the challenges of highly pressurised, fast paced work environment and how it can be hard to balance your personal life with a demanding job. ​ During a particular sad and challenging period of my life, I have been offered some counselling and I found the experience life changing for me. So, when I had the opportunity, I decided to study psychotherapy in order to understand others and myself better and learn how to support people at a deeper, more personal level.
