Therapists

I am a Counselling Psychologist and feel incredibly lucky to do a job that I love. My priority is that therapy is as helpful for you as possible so my approach is collaborative and open, and I place particular value on building strong therapeutic relationships with the people that I work with. I offer a warm and down-to-earth approach to therapy and my focus is providing a safe and non-judgemental space to talk.

I am experienced in a range of therapeutic models. My approach is integrative which means that our work will be guided by the therapeutic model that seems best suited to you and your hopes for therapy. The approaches that I draw on include: CBT, Schema Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and parent-infant approaches such as Circle of Security Parenting and video-feedback interventions. I also offer Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused CBT.

I have been supporting young people, adults and families for over 10 years across various settings in both the NHS and in private practice. A great number of things can bring people to therapy but on the whole, people come seeking a space to reflect on their experiences and emotions. This can include feeling anxious, low, angry or lacking in self-confidence; or feeling dissatisfied with relationships, career or general life. Sometimes people come wanting to process experiences that have felt traumatic or overwhelming, or to explore relationship patterns (both current and past). I also specialise in supporting parents with the challenges that can arise during pregnancy, birth and the early years (known as the perinatal period).
