Sarah Bernard

Counsellor/Psychotherapist/Supervisor

Postgraduate Diploma in Supervision of Counselling and Psychotherapy, Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling

Therapists

I provide therapy for individual adults and couples as well as to children, young people and families. I also offer monthly and fortnightly supervision to counsellors, psychotherapists and psychologists. I believe it is important that you feel at ease to be self reflective and to explore your work openly and have found, from experience, that supervision is most effective when there is a trusting, warm and respectful relationship between supervisor and supervisee. I work with the Seven-Eyed and Cyclical models of supervision to support this approach.

The therapeutic process is a collaborative one, with me working alongside you to support the development of a greater understanding of yourself and your relationship with others. Listening to your questions and beliefs about counselling at the outset is crucial as it will enable us to form a trusting relationship which forms the basis for positive therapeutic work.

I am an accredited member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). My training involved four years of academic and clinical study and was BACP accredited. I am also a certified professional coach.
