Therapists
My practice is informed by professional training at the Centre for Counselling and Psychotherapy Education, which began in 2020 and has shaped my integrative approach to psychotherapy. In addition to clinical experience, I led the Families programme at Family Friends, a charity in North Kensington, where I deepened my understanding of the complex challenges facing parents and built strong connections within family support services. I am currently working towards completion of a postgraduate diploma in integrative psychotherapy whilst also studying an MA in Transpersonal Psychology with the University of Northampton. As a UKCP registered trainee, I blend therapeutic skills with substantial experience in family support. This combined expertise led to the founding of www.forward2gether, an initiative promoting parental resilience and well-being. In line with my training, I offer affordable psychotherapy sessions both in person and online, along with facilitating parent circles designed to foster group reflection and peer support.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in humanistic and person-centred traditions, offering a space built on trust, empathy, and genuine relational care. I integrate present-moment awareness and somatic insight, psychodynamic understanding of unconscious processes, and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to compassionately explore clients’ internal worlds. My primary training in the transpersonal perspective supports clients in reconnecting with deeper aspects of themselves using imagery, dreams, symbolism, and attention to the spiritual dimension. All work is held within a robust ethical and relational framework to foster safety and growth. As a parent myself, I have a deep appreciation of the complex challenges facing parents today. I understand firsthand the pressures, worries, and hopes that arise in family life. I believe much of the mental health distress experienced by young people has roots in unprocessed ancestral trauma, and that by engaging in inner work, parents not only support their own healing but also contribute to the well-being of their children and future generations.
I have had a fulfilling career working within the UK and international education sector as a teacher and sports coach for 27 years. I also founded a creative upholstery business alongside my teaching practice.
