Therapists

I'm Fiona-Jane an experienced accredited UKCP Registered Psychotherapist and MBACP Registered counsellor. My background is in the NHS, charity sector, industry and private practice. I offer weekly in person face to face sessions with individual adults, 50 minute duration, to help support the process of therapy that is ethical and inclusive of race, culture, gender identity and faith. The first in person face to face 50 minute session is charged at the full negotiated rate in this consultation. I will invite you to discuss your current situation, past history, reasons for seeking therapy or counselling now, and any past therapy or counselling experiences. Notice period for planned holidays and cancellation policy will be discussed too. I may ask more questions in a first session than usual and you are welcome to ask me questions. If I think that I may be able to help you then I will say. Session payment via BAC Payment is required for all sessions and on the same day. Please contact me to set up an appointment.

As an Integrative Psychotherapist I draw upon Psychodynamic-Relational- Existential ways of thinking about being in the world along with neuroscience-traumatology.

I have worked with people from different backgrounds suffering from anxieties and feelings of despair and depression. Self criticism and criticism towards others may lead to isolation and low self esteem. People may not understand their feelings or why similar patterns in relationships occur. Grief arsing from a traumatic bereavement, including baby, child, parent, friend, colleague, pet, termination, miscarriage, homicide, suicide, may too evoke a wide range of difficult feelings making it hard to cope. In my experience, therapy can help un-addressed difficulties feel more manageable. It can be a catalyst for growth and healing. Whilst the facts of the past cannot be changed, your story can be updated in therapy. Special Interests: Like all UKCP registered psychotherapists and psychotherapeutic counsellors I can work with a wide range of issues, but here are some areas in which I have a special interest or additional experience: Anxiety, Depression, Past Childhood and Relationship struggles, Bereavement and Trauma.
