BA (Hons) in Counselling, Level 5 Foundation Degree in Psychodynamic Counselling.
Starting therapy can feel like a big step. You may be experiencing anxiety, feeling overwhelmed, or finding that things in your life no longer feel quite right. Whatever has brought you here, I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel safe to talk openly and explore what you are going through.
I believe that feeling genuinely heard and understood is an important part of the therapeutic process. My aim is to create a trusting relationship where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without fear of judgement. Together, we can explore what is happening for you and begin to make sense of the thoughts, feelings and experiences that may be affecting your everyday life.
I am a qualified psychodynamic counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work in accordance with the BACP Ethical Framework, maintaining a commitment to professional standards and ethical practice.
I offer 50-minute counselling sessions both in person in Clapham and the surrounding areas, as well as online. I work with individuals who may be experiencing a range of emotional and personal difficulties, and I recognise that everyone comes to therapy with their own unique experiences and circumstances.
I also offer a free introductory telephone consultation. This gives us an opportunity to briefly discuss what has brought you to therapy, answer any questions you may have and consider whether we might be a good fit to work together.
My approach
My approach is psychodynamic, which means that we can explore not only what you are experiencing in the present, but also whether past experiences, relationships and patterns may be influencing how you think, feel and relate to yourself and others today.
Together, we can gently explore thoughts and feelings that may sometimes be difficult to understand or put into words. By developing greater awareness of these underlying patterns and processes, therapy can help you gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your relationships.
I believe therapy is a collaborative process. We will work at a pace that feels comfortable for you, creating space to explore your experiences without judgement. My hope is that through this process you can develop greater self-awareness, insight and understanding, supporting you to make meaningful changes in your life.
