MA Psychotherapy & Counselling, PG Certificate in Integrative Psychotherapy
Hi, I’m Wren. I understand that therapy can feel daunting to start, especially when you’re not sure where to begin or what you “should” be talking about. That’s okay. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on different approaches and shape them around you, rather than asking you to fit a method. Together we can explore what feels most pressing and make room for this, whether that’s something big and tangled or something you can’t quite name yet. Many of the people I see have been affected by anxiety, trauma, family expectations, cultural pressure, or painful experiences from earlier in life. We can delve into how these experiences have shaped the way you see yourself, relate to others and navigate the world, and whether the patterns you’ve developed still feel right for you.
I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist registered with the BACP. My application to become an accredited member of the UKCP is pending approval. I have several years of experience working in the charity sector and believe low-cost therapy services are essential in today’s climate and still volunteer weekly to support these organisations.
My approach
My approach is gentle and collaborative and I am influenced by relational and humanistic approaches, which focus on our relationship as well as those you have outside of therapy. I believe that trust and honesty is the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship. I am grounded in psychodynamic approaches as I understand that our past experiences and relationships can often shape and impact who we are as adults.
I welcome clients of all backgrounds, including neurodivergent people, such as those with ADHD or autism, and trans, non-binary, queer and polyamorous clients. I recognise that our identities, backgrounds, relationships and experiences don’t exist in isolation; they can shape and influence one another in complex ways. I want to understand what these experiences mean for you, on your own terms, rather than make assumptions about who you are or what you need.
