When facing a major life change, like a breakup, a move, a new job or the loss of a loved one, it is normal to feel a little off balance. But if you find yourself still feeling down after a couple of months and unable to find ways to cope you may have developed an adjustment disorder. Sometimes called “situational depression” an individual with an adjustment disorder often has many of the symptoms common to depression, such as worry, crying, sadness, feeling hopeless and overwhelmed, anxiety, fatigue, or insomnia.
Adjustment disorders are very common and can affect anyone at any age. Unlike depression, an adjustment disorder is generally temporary and typically goes away once the individual is able to find ways to manage the situation. Consequently, treatment from a mental health professional for adjustment disorders is usually only needed for a short period of time.

My name is Arezoo, though most people know me as Ozzy. I believe that everyone deserves a space where they feel heard, understood, and accepted without judgement. My aim is to offer a calm, compassionate environment where you can speak openly, make sense of what you're going through, and move towards a life that feels more meaningful and fulfilling, at a pace that feels right for you.
My approach is warm, collaborative, and integrative, drawing on a range of evidence based therapeutic models to meet your individual needs rather than expecting you to fit one approach. I believe therapy is not about giving advice or telling you what to do, but about helping you understand yourself more deeply, discover your own strengths, and make lasting changes with confidence and self compassion.

I am skilled in working with a wide range of issues, including lack of confidence and ease within oneself, trauma, low mood and anxiety, difference and disconnection in relationships, the impact of life changes and transitions, feeling stuck or directionless, difficulties understanding one’s own emotions, needs and identity, grief and loss, and more.
In our sessions, I will create a space for you to explore your experiences in a way that honours and values your unique way of being in the world. I will accompany you step by step as we listen to and attend to various parts of you, including those that may have not had the chance to be heard before. I will support you exploring and expanding your sense of self, working towards wholeness and integration.
My role is to facilitate and nurture the conditions where healing and growth can happen, to support you identifying and valuing your resources, while also developing new ones, so that, at the end of your therapeutic journey, you can continue growing and learning independently and with self-awareness.

My name is Gabriella and I am a Psychoanalytic Psychotherapist . I offer both short and long term psychotherapeutic interventions to Children & Adolescents/Young Adults, as well as parents and families. I will initially complete an assessment and offer weekly appointments which last for 50 minutes.
Through the therapeutic process, we will aim to build understanding and insights into the issues and difficulties that brought you into therapy. To help you build some resilience to deal with the past and the present and move forward
I am based in Woolwich and Clapham in South London.
I offer a service to children, adolescents, and young adults to allow them to begin to understand and explore how their past experiences have impacted on their lives, to be able to regulate their emotions and behaviours in order to cope with life’s challenges. Often the problems experienced are related to or are the result of past traumas or even just finding it hard to cope with life generally with all its pressures and difficulties. I can also see families and parents who can sometimes struggle to understand the problems facing them as a family unit. I am offering a safe and non-judgemental space, where we can begin to understand.

People come to therapy for many different reasons, and I work with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and life stages. Whatever has brought you to therapy, my aim is to offer a thoughtful, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you feel heard, understood and supported. I am experienced in supporting you on issues related to parenting challenges, childhood trauma, childhood bereavement, or adverse childhood experiences, as well as identity and life transitions, including bereavements, job loss and immigration.
In therapy sessions with me, you'll always be met with warmth, compassion and respect. I draw on a range of therapeutic approaches (e.g., humanistic, psychodynamic, CBT) according to what is likely to be most helpful to you specifically. For trauma, I'm also trained in EMDR, an evidence-based therapy that helps people process traumatic or difficult experiences. My aim is to create a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, including about the things that are hard to say out loud. Sessions with me tend to feel more like a genuine conversation than something formal. I understand that finding the right therapist can feel like an important decision. The free 20-30min initial consultation offers an opportunity for us to meet, discuss any questions you may have, and consider together whether I am the right person to support you.
Therapy sessions are weekly, and 45-50 minutes long. For EMDR processing sessions, I may book double sessions, to ensure there is enough time to complete the particular processing sequence you are working on. Sessions can be scheduled weekly or closer together.

My path has been shaped by displacement: geographical (Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Auckland, Vancouver, London), linguistic (French, English), institutional (clinical psychology, rehabilitation centres, private practice), and, above all, subjective displacement.
Initially trained in Anglo-Saxon psychological approaches and having worked in settings where acute distress calls for urgent interventions (addiction, exclusion), I have, in parallel, entered the Freudo-Lacanian tradition in French over the past decade and now orient my work within a psychoanalytic framework.
Within the transferential bond specific to psychoanalysis, the work consists in sustaining a position that enables each person to encounter what, for them, constitutes a question: their desire, their singular way of being in the world, their repetitions, the mark of signifiers that affect them, and, as is so often formulated, that sense that “things are not going well,” “nothing works,” or “I keep going round in circles.”
I work with adults, in both French and English

I am a Counselling Psychologist and feel incredibly lucky to do a job that I love. I offer a warm, supportive, and down-to-earth approach to therapy, with a focus on creating a safe, non-judgemental space where you can talk openly and feel understood.
I don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all style of therapy so our work will be guided by the therapeutic model that seems best suited to you. This includes drawing on approaches such as: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Trauma-Focused CBT, and Parent-infant approaches, such as Circle of Security Parenting and video-feedback interventions. The focus is always on what will best support your needs and goals.

About my practice
With nearly 18 years of experience in psychoanalytic practice, I have had the privilege of working with people at different stages of life, from children and adolescents to adults and older people, as well as with mother–baby relationships.
Over the years, my clinical work has brought me into contact with a wide range of experiences and forms of psychological suffering, including depression, anxiety, questions around sexual orientation and identity, anger, grief, trauma, difficulties relating to the body and body image, and psychosis.
Each person I have worked with has contributed to my clinical experience and understanding of the complexity and singularity of each suqbject. Psychoanalytic work offers a space in which what is difficult to put into words can gradually find a place to be spoken and listened to, opening up the possibility of relating differently to one's experiences, relationships and ways of being in the world.
After nearly two decades of practice, I continue to value above all the encounter with each person and the uniqueness of their story.
If you feel that you would like to talk, or simply to have a space where you can be listened to, please get in touch.

I am an HCPC-registered Clinical Psychologist working at The Chelsea Psychology Clinic and the founder of the Home Space | Hampstead Psychology Clinic in London.
I completed my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at King’s College London and also hold an MSc in Clinical Mental Health Sciences and a Postgraduate Certificate in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Interventions from University College London, as well as a BSc in Psychology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens.
I have trained to work across the lifespan and with the full range of mental health difficulties. I have supported adults, children, and young people with problems such as anxiety, depression, complex trauma, personality disorders, psychosomatic symptoms, work stress, and issues related to neurodevelopmental conditions such as ADHD. My particular interests include working with complex trauma, relational difficulties, psychosomatic symptoms, and the challenges of migration, cultural transitions, and abusive relationships.
I offer therapy in both English and Greek, face to face in London and online, worldwide.

Although I am a Clinical Psychologist, above all, I am human. And as a fellow human, when you come into the room with me, I will sit with you and listen to your experiences. I am deeply curious about how your unique story unfolds over time, not just your symptoms or diagnosis. I won’t rush you. Things take time, life is full of ups and downs, and I want to walk next to you in this journey.
I believe that a new therapy needs to be created for every human being. I work integratively, tailoring my approach to what you need and what feels right for you. I often ask what you prefer, because I believe that therapy should be something we build together, something that truly fits you.
I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy, Systemic and Family Therapy, as well as body-based approaches such as Embodied Psychotherapy and Dance Movement Therapy.
My approach is integrative and relational, with a focus on how past experiences, relationship patterns, and embodied processes shape present difficulties.
Based on your needs, I can offer a range of evidence-based techniques and tools, but I also provide something beyond that; a space for understanding yourself and your experiences. Therapy, to me, is not only about alleviating symptoms, but about listening to what those symptoms may be trying to communicate, so you can begin to live the life you truly want for yourself.
I offer a space that gives permission for feelings to be felt; for sadness, anger, fear, or guilt to surface in as much safety as possible. A space where the dark box of feelings can be opened, and where, in time, you may come to see that it was never as dark as it once seemed.

I'm a qualified systemic family and couple psychotherapist and mental health clinician with over twenty years of clinical experience of working in the NHS mental health services, offering support to families, groups, couples, young people and adults who are facing mental health difficulties, trauma and emotional dysregulation.
I'm registered with the Association of Family Therapy and accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I have an MSc in Systemic Family and Couple Psychotherapy. I currently work in the NHS child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) and eating disorders service. I also manage my own private practice.
I’m experienced in working with couples, families, individuals, adolescents and children, providing evidence-based psychological interventions. I have experience of working in Local Authorities children’s services, supporting many different types of families (nuclear, adoptive, fostered and blended). I work with families, supporting parents and care givers with understanding their child’s needs and connecting with them in healthy ways.
I also have extensive experience of working with couples, where there have been issues in relation to trust, communication and intimacy. I have experience of working with couples and families before and after separation and stepfamily joining, and where there have been affairs.
I am also experienced in working with families and couples in high conflict separations involving the family law system. I’m experienced in supporting families and couples through this process, which may involve liaising with social workers, children’s guardians, CAFCAS workers, family lawyers and in the preparation of court reports.
I also work with individuals and couples from the LGBTQ+ community and have experience of working with people who want to explore their identity relating to gender and sexuality.
I offer both short-term therapy and long-term therapy to couples, families and individuals. I have access to consulting rooms, and I’m also experienced in delivering therapy using on-line platforms.
My approach is warm, caring, compassionate and collaborative with people. I work hard to provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential approach. This enables people to explore their dilemmas regarding their relationships with people, family members and partners, opening new possibilities and communication. My approach is influenced by attachment narratives and cultural differences. I have had the privilege of working with many people and families from a broad range of backgrounds. I ensure therapy is inclusive and adapted to your ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age and disability.
My main approach is systemic psychotherapy, which is a strengths-based approach that seeks to help families and couples work through problems and difficulties together and work towards change. My clinical practice with families is informed by different models such as Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Narrative Family Therapy, Non-Violent Resistant model (NVR), Circle of Security (COS) and Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FTAN).
My clinical practice with couples is informed by Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Exeter Model. Systemic psychotherapy focuses on how families and couples interact and relate to one another, and how they are understood and experienced by one another.
In sessions I work with people to explore their relationships. I work with people to unpick unhelpful patterns of communication - or issues of loss and life transition difficulties - through which dilemmas, distress, emotions and confusion can be resolved by identifying unhelpful thought processes and patterns of behaviour that may have developed over time, and may be contributing towards you feeling stuck and frustrated.
In sessions I work with people to improve their understanding in their relationships and enhance their communication, promoting resilience and change, creating new coping strategies - and the process of reconnection within the relationships of the people involved.
Research shows that having strong, close relationships leads to better health and more positive outcomes in life. Regardless of whether you are an individual, couple or family this approach provides a way forward.

I am a fully qualified Art Psychotherapist with extensive experience working with adults, young people and children. I offer both creative and talking therapy, with a flexible approach shaped around your individual needs, preferences and ways of communicating.
I specialise in supporting autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent individuals, with an understanding of diverse sensory, communication and processing styles. If you are neurodivergent, my approach recognises this as part of your identity and way of experiencing the world, rather than something that needs to be changed or “fixed”.
Art Psychotherapy is an established and professionally regulated form of psychological therapy, informed by psychological theory, clinical practice and a growing body of research. It combines the therapeutic relationship with creative processes to support emotional expression, reflection and psychological understanding.
No artistic ability or previous experience with art is needed.
I am trained to work with both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication. This can be particularly valuable if experiences are difficult to put into words, if emotions feel overwhelming, or if thinking and communicating through images, materials, metaphor or sensory experience feels more accessible than talking alone.
You may be seeking support with a wide range of needs and experiences, including:
- Neurodivergence, including being autistic, ADHD or dyslexic - with support around self-understanding, identity, strengths, sensory needs, communication preferences, regulation and self-advocacy
- Anxiety
- Stress, overwhelm and burnout
- Depression and low mood
- Trauma and the impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences
- Grief, bereavement and loss
- Self-esteem, self-worth and confidence
- Relationships, connection and interpersonal difficulties
- Learning disabilities
- Change, transitions and periods of uncertainty
- Adoption, including experiences connected with identity, attachment and belonging
- Addiction
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties
- Infertility and fertility-related experiences
My approach is grounded in safety, trust, choice, collaboration and respect for your individual experience. I work at a pace that feels manageable for you, recognising that everyone differs in how they communicate, process emotions, build trust and make sense of their experiences.
No problem is too small. If it matters to you, it matters. Getting in touch can be the first step towards greater understanding, meaningful change and a different way of relating to yourself and your experiences.

I am a qualified counselling psychologist and an accredited member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have worked in NHS mental health services over the past ten years with people struggling with depression, low mood, anxiety disorders, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, loss, work related stress and other difficulties. I have helped people with more complex, long and enduring problems such as chronic depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, emotional intensity and mood instability. There are many reasons why people seek psychological support, perhaps you feel stuck in one or more areas of your life or you have noticed unhelpful and hurtful patterns of thinking and behaviour, and would like this to be different. You may want to better understand where these patterns come from and how they can be different. Often life can ‘look good on paper’ and yet you still feel unhappy or that something is lacking in your life. In therapy we can explore what might be underlying a sense of discontent or unease. Once issues are brought to our attention we can more easily make sense of what is going on, in order to think about how things can change. I offer a safe space in which we can think together about what is happening and bring a new perspective to your difficulties and begin formulating a way forward. Psychological research consistently demonstrates that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the primary indicator of positive outcome of therapy. I aim to develop warm collaborative relationships based on respect, curiosity and acceptance.
Psychological Therapy
There are a wide variety of therapeutic approaches and treatment models and at times this choice might feel confusing. I am including a brief explanation but we can discuss this further to identify what might be most helpful for you.
Integrative Counselling Psychology
Integrative counselling psychology draws on humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive models to focus on a person’s meaning making of their subjective experience. My integrative approach acknowledges the inherent difficulties but also the ever-present potential for growth and development in the human experience. It also allows therapy to be more flexible and inclusive according to an individual’s particular difficulties and therapeutic goals. This approach caters to both those who are interested in exploring the impact of past experiences on present ways of thinking and feeling whilst others may be after a more pragmatic set of skills to better manage those difficulties.
Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)
Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) is a time-limited, structured psychotherapy, with a growing evidence base in its effectiveness of treating depression. Typically it is delivered over 16 weekly sessions. It aims to help clarify the connection between presenting symptoms and what is happening in relationships by identifying a core repetitive pattern of relating that can be traced back to childhood. Once this pattern is identified, it will be used to make sense of difficulties in relationships in the here-and-now that could be contributing to psychological stress.
3rd Wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapies
3rd wave CBT extends the traditional cognitive behavioural theories that thinking, feeling and behaviour are all active contributors to low mood and anxiety, which can be resolved by changing what we do, think or feel. 3rd wave CBT draws on neurological research, decades on evolving psychological practice as well as ancient concepts such as compassion and mindfulness to develop a new way of working. This approach focuses less on the content of thoughts and pays more attention to the context, process and function of these internal experiences. 3rd wave CBT can offer more pragmatic skills and strategies to support different ways of responding to psychological pain and distress. This type of therapy may be useful for people suffering from low mood, anxiety, high expectations of themselves, or a tendency to ‘over think’.
Relationship Counselling and Couples Therapy
Relationships are vital for us as humans and when they go wrong this can cause a great deal of distress. Attending sessions together to focus on the couple can be an opportunity to consider what might be happening between the two partners. The sessions are an opportunity to safely explore areas of concern and allow partners to communicate with one another to identify and begin to understand underlying conflicts. Due to the complex nature of relationships people may find themselves responding to difficulties they may have had in their past as well as current challenges and this is useful to think about as a couple. As in individual therapy, couples may enter into therapyas a result of a crisis as well as at times of feeling stuck or simply a desire to improve the quality of the relationship.
