Domestic abuse, also known as domestic violence, can happen to anyone. Domestic violence can take many forms including emotional, verbal or physical abuse. An abusive relationship can have a huge impact on your life and may affect your self-esteem, cause depression or anxiety, and trigger feelings of guilt, stress or fear.
Although it can be tough to admit that you are in an abusive situation, even to yourself, it’s important to recognize it and get help (if you are in immediate danger, call 911). Domestic abuse often becomes worse over time. A qualified mental health professional can help victims of domestic violence to make a plan to safely end the relationship and recover from the trauma they have experienced.

I am a qualified psychotherapist with six years’ experience working with adults, children and teenagers. I offer a warm, compassionate and non-judgemental space where you can feel heard, understood and supported.
Over the course of my career, I have worked with people experiencing a wide range of difficulties, including trauma and PTSD, anxiety, low mood, work-related stress, relationship difficulties, burnout, self-harm, and challenges within friendships and family relationships.
For the past four years, I have worked within the charity sector supporting teenagers who have experienced sexual abuse. This experience has given me a particular understanding of the impact that trauma can have on emotional wellbeing, relationships and a person’s sense of self.
I believe that seeking therapy can be an important step towards understanding yourself, making sense of difficult experiences and creating meaningful change. My aim is to work collaboratively with you, at a pace that feels right for you, and to provide a space where you can explore what is happening without fear of judgement.
I am an integrative therapist, which means I draw on different therapeutic approaches and tailor my way of working to your individual needs, experiences and goals. I believe there is no single approach that works for everyone, and therapy should be shaped around you as an individual.
I aim to create a safe, supportive and non-judgemental environment where you can feel comfortable exploring difficult thoughts, feelings and experiences. We can work together to develop a better understanding of what you are experiencing, explore patterns that may be affecting you, and consider ways of moving forward.
My experience includes working with trauma and PTSD, anxiety, low mood, work-related stress, burnout, relationship difficulties, family and friendship issues, and self-harm. I also have particular experience supporting teenagers who have experienced sexual abuse.
I work collaboratively and at a pace that feels manageable for you. Whether you are dealing with something that has happened recently, carrying the impact of past experiences, or simply feeling stuck or overwhelmed, I will work with you to understand your needs and identify what may help.

Hi my name is Elia, I am a qualified integrative psychotherapist (MSc), offering individual therapy to adults. I offer short and long term therapy, in person and online.
I am a native Greek speaker and hence I can also work in Greek.
Therapy offers a chance to slow down and explore what is happening in your life. You may be experiencing anxiety or depression, difficulties in your relationships, low self-esteem, stress or burnout, or struggling with a significant change or loss. I provide a thoughtful, compassionate space in which you can talk openly, make sense of your experiences and develop a deeper understanding of yourself and what you need.
I work relationally as I believe the relationship between therapist and client is an important part of the therapeutic process, and I aim to bring warmth, openness and genuine curiosity to our work together. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on different therapeutic approaches and I consider both your past and present experiences and relationships, your culture, physical and mental health, your work and everything else that is important to you.
Therapy is not a quick fix and can sometimes be challenging. I won't tell you what you should do; instead, I will support you in exploring your thoughts, feelings and experiences, understanding yourself more deeply and making choices that feel right for you.
Sessions are typically weekly, on the same day and time and last for 50 minutes. I offer a complimentary 20-30 minute initial consultation, giving us an opportunity to meet, talk about what has brought you to therapy and consider whether we might be a good fit to work together.

My approach is intercultural, being mindful of the importance of ethnicity, culture, beliefs, values, attitudes, religion and language in our everyday experiences.
I trained at the Tavistock and Portman in 2006-2011 with the psychodynamic modality being my core approach. I have undertaken Continuous Professional Development at various institutions over the years, including at the Anna Freud Centre, where I trained in Mentalisation Based treatments and the British Psychotherapy Foundation, where I completed my Supervisor training.
I provide comprehensive ADHD and Autism screenings, pre-diagnostic assessments, and formal diagnosis, aligned with NICE guidelines. I utilise gold-standard diagnostic frameworks—including the DSM-5, DIVA-5, Young DIVA, ADI-R, and ADOS-2—to ensure a thorough, evidence based diagnostic process.

I first became interested in working in this area when I met someone on a bridge who was contemplating jumping into the Thames. I realised the value of being with another person and listening. Following this, I joined the Samaritans and worked for 12 years as a volunteer, listening to the suicidal and depressed and supporting them. Many years later, I now offer counselling and psychotherapy online, by email and in person. Most people experience a life crisis at some point. Often, these experiences, and the feelings that come from them, are overwhelming and very isolating. Friends and family might not always be the best people to talk these things through with, especially if we find our feelings embarrassing. That‘s when non-judgemental and supportive counselling or psychotherapy can be very helpful. My aim is to be open, fair and to give everyone an equal service, respecting difference and diversity. I am eager and open to discuss any adjustments you may need. Life has it's ups and downs and I believe that there is no shame in saying that you need help with emotional difficulties. I've had to overcome life crises of my own and these experiences help me to empathise with other people’s struggles.
Having worked for over a decade with people suffering from depression and mental health problems, I will not judge how you are feeling. It is very important to me that you can explore your difficulties in a trusting environment, and so our relationship is at the heart of everything I offer as a therapist. I am a warm person and want you to experience therapy as a safe, confidential and non-judgemental place to explore life’s difficulties and challenges. Mine is an experienced listening ear and I offer you a supportive approach. I work with individuals on an open-ended basis as a psychotherapist or for an agreed time period as a counsellor, with the aim of enabling you to enhance your life and to live it more fully. By looking at our unconscious thoughts, dreams and behaviour, we can gradually develop insight and stop repeating the things that hold us back from being all we can be. I have worked in private business and management for over twenty years. I understand the pressures and stresses that juggling work and home life can bring. Having worked for over a decade in a voluntary capacity with people suffering from depression and mental health problems, I will not judge how you are feeling. You do not have to have mental health issues to enter counselling and psychotherapy. My own experience is that we can all benefit from understanding ourselves better. Although not a Buddhist, I practice meditation, breathing exercises and mindfulness. I specialise in working with people who have had exceptional or unusual experiences, that are often hard to talk about with other people These experiences are far more common than is thought, and nothing to be worried about. Sometimes, people need to integrate these experiences into the rest of their life and make meaning of them. This is where I can support you. These experiences may include out-of-body experiences (OBEs), near-death experiences (NDEs), a feeling that you know something before it happens, or seeing or meeting someone who has died. I also take private healthcare insurance referrals please enquire.

MY APPROACH
The focus of the work is on the current situation.
My approach is guided by an INTEGRATIVE APPROACH, meaning I draw from different therapeutic traditions.
Employing a psychodynamic approach to explore how past experiences—particularly early relationships—continue
to influence your thoughts, emotions, and interactions with others today.
Uncovering repetitive patterns and coping strategies that may no longer serve you, helping you make more conscious choices and feel more in control.
The transpersonal approach not only helps in healing emotional pain but also in evolving into a new version
of yourself, one that is aligned with your values, feelings, and deep longings. Your challenges are seen not only
as difficulties, but also as invitations for growth.
I use a trauma-informed approach (Trauma-Informed Stabilisation Treatment developed by Dr Janina Fisher).
It focuses on attending different parts of you — even those that feel reactive, stuck, or self-sabotaging — with
care and compassion. This approach understands that trauma affects both the mind and the body, and helps you feel safer and manage the sense of overwhelm.
Through systemic lenses, I also consider the broader context: your family system, culture, faith background,
and transgenerational experiences, all of which contribute to who you are and how you interact with the world.
Other theories which inform my practice include findings from Attachment Theory, neuroscience, Emotional Intelligence and others.

Hi, I'm Wren. I understand that therapy can feel daunting to start, especially when you’re not sure where to begin or what you “should” be talking about. That’s okay. As an integrative psychotherapist, I draw on different approaches and shape them around you, rather than asking you to fit a method. Together we can explore what feels most pressing and make room for this, whether that’s something big and tangled or something you can’t quite name yet. Many of the people I see have been affected by anxiety, trauma, family expectations, cultural pressure, or painful experiences from earlier in life. We can delve into how these experiences have shaped the way you see yourself, relate to others and navigate the world, and whether the patterns you've developed still feel right for you.
My approach is gentle and collaborative and I am influenced by relational and humanistic approaches, which focus on our relationship as well as those you have outside of therapy. I believe that trust and honesty is the foundation of a strong therapeutic relationship. I am grounded in psychodynamic approaches as I understand that our past experiences and relationships can often shape and impact who we are as adults.
I welcome clients of all backgrounds, including neurodivergent people, such as those with ADHD or autism, and trans, non-binary, queer and polyamorous clients. I recognise that our identities, backgrounds, relationships and experiences don't exist in isolation; they can shape and influence one another in complex ways. I want to understand what these experiences mean for you, on your own terms, rather than make assumptions about who you are or what you need.

I am an accredited member of the BACP, a Level 2 Certified Clinical Trauma Practitioner (with specialist training in complex trauma and dissociation), and a Certified EMDR Practitioner.
I offer a therapeutic space that is clinically robust, yet deeply warm and approachable. My path to this work is a bit unconventional: before entering private practice, I spent years as a frontline humanitarian aid worker, a hospital chaplain, a family therapist in a hospice, and a meditation practitioner immersed in deep silence for four years.
What this means for you is that I bring an unshakeable presence to our work. I specialise in the conversations most people avoid. If your world feels like it is on fire, or if you are carrying pain that feels "too much" for a standard clinical room, I am here to hold a deeply grounded space so we can navigate it together.
Because trauma lives in the body as well as the mind and the heart, I do not use a rigid, "one-size-fits-all" script. Instead, I integrate EMDR with IFS (Parts Work), DBR, Somatic, and Sensorimotor approaches to support healing that is both deeply relational and body-based. Drawing further from Psychodynamic, Person-Centred, and Mindfulness traditions, I tailor my work entirely to your unique landscape. In my practice in Clapham Junction and online, I work with adults grappling with the long-term effects of developmental and relational trauma—the quiet wounds of attachment—as well as high-impact, acute 'Big T' trauma
Healing requires a space that is unafraid of the darkest chapters. I work alongside you to hold and process experiences that are often the hardest to speak about, including childhood abuse and neglect, domestic violence, coercive control, sexual abuse, rape, and sibling sexual abuse. My clinical focus also covers trafficking, combat trauma, intergenerational, racial, and displacement trauma, alongside traumatic loss, moral shame, borderline personality presentations, and the dissociation spectrum (including depersonalisation and derealisation). These challenging experiences can overwhelm the nervous system, often surfacing as deep anxiety, depression, or relational struggles.
Equally, I provide a fiercely compassionate space for those facing the ultimate thresholds of life. Whether you are navigating a terminal illness, caring for a loved one in their end-of-life stages, or struggling to cope with the aftermath of complex bereavement.
Grief to me is not only the weight of what we have lost but also the quiet, profound ache for what we never had, and the potential of what could have been but wasn't. I offer a space that treats these transitions with immense reverence. And because I know firsthand that our most vital attachments aren't always human, I extend that exact same clinical weight and therapeutic support to people who have loved and lost a pet.
During these trying times, fundamental existential concerns—questions about the nature of life and death, freedom, isolation, and meaning—frequently come to the forefront. You do not have to carry the weight of these questions alone.

Do you need help with relational difficulties, anxiety, depression, or traumatic events? Seeking help can be difficult, particularly if you have learnt that you must endure your pain alone and silently. Counselling and therapy can be the way forward as a powerful release of all your private suffering, foster self-acceptance and understanding, to give you a chance to have a clearer sense of purpose and direction. As a BACP registered therapist, I am to give the best care to each of my clients, working to provide a psychologically safe environment where you can bring unattended injuries from your childhood, current struggles from work or personal relationships.
I bring my experience as a counsellor from working in various sectors, including NHS, private and charitable organisations, to offer you both short and long-term counselling. I have been working with individuals dealing with a broad range of mental health issues. I specialise in trauma, abuse, and infertility. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, depression, relational difficulties, separation and divorce, bullying, bereavement, low self-esteem, work-related issues, stress management, eating disorders, and issues of LGBTQ+.
My focus is the therapeutic relationship, working with the here and now. I draw on a variety of approaches to meet your individual needs and circumstances. We all need to be listened to and can work through our difficulties if we are given the opportunity to work through our problems at our own pace in a safe and confidential environment. My part of the process is to gently help you to make sense of your difficulties, feelings and repetitive patterns that may unfold. I honour the uniqueness of my clients and welcome the rich diversity of the individual in the spirit of inclusion and celebration.

My commitment is to provide deep, ethical care focused on your mental health recovery and overall well-being.
My approach is rooted in Psychoanalytic and Psychodynamic principles, applied within a Brief Psychotherapy framework. This integration allows for a deep exploration of underlying issues and past traumas while maintaining a focused, goal-oriented path to healing. I incorporate EMDR Therapy (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) when appropriate, facilitating the reprocessing of traumatic memories and providing relief from acute emotional distress.

People often come to me when the way they've been living stops working quietly. From the outside things may look fine, even enviable; inside there is anxiety that arrives at 3am, a flatness that won't lift, or a sense that the life you built and the person you are have drifted apart. I work with capable, high-functioning adults: the ones who hold demanding lives together, who others lean on, and who rarely show what it costs them. I see clients in Clapham, near Bank in the City of London, and online, and sessions can be held entirely in English, French or Italian. We begin with a free 20-minute call, with no obligation, so you can get a sense of me and how I work. You can read more at innerspacetherapy.co.uk.
I work integratively, shaping the approach around you rather than fitting you to a method, and the relationship between us always comes first; research consistently finds it to be one of the strongest predictors of how well therapy works. Alongside it, I pay close attention to what happens as we talk, in the room and in the body, and, where it helps, we trace a pattern back to where it began, so that what feels like a personal failing starts to make sense as something learned, and something that can be unlearned. There is no set programme and no fixed number of sessions; we review the work openly as we go. I most often work with anxiety and burnout, low self-esteem, OCD and intrusive thoughts, adult ADHD, relationships, disordered eating, and women's health.

About my practice
With nearly 18 years of experience in psychoanalytic practice, I have had the privilege of working with people at different stages of life, from children and adolescents to adults and older people, as well as with mother–baby relationships.
Over the years, my clinical work has brought me into contact with a wide range of experiences and forms of psychological suffering, including depression, anxiety, questions around sexual orientation and identity, anger, grief, trauma, difficulties relating to the body and body image, and psychosis.
Each person I have worked with has contributed to my clinical experience and understanding of the complexity and singularity of each suqbject. Psychoanalytic work offers a space in which what is difficult to put into words can gradually find a place to be spoken and listened to, opening up the possibility of relating differently to one's experiences, relationships and ways of being in the world.
After nearly two decades of practice, I continue to value above all the encounter with each person and the uniqueness of their story.
If you feel that you would like to talk, or simply to have a space where you can be listened to, please get in touch.

My path has been shaped by displacement: geographical (Paris, Hong Kong, Singapore, Auckland, Vancouver, London), linguistic (French, English), institutional (clinical psychology, rehabilitation centres, private practice), and, above all, subjective displacement.
Initially trained in Anglo-Saxon psychological approaches and having worked in settings where acute distress calls for urgent interventions (addiction, exclusion), I have, in parallel, entered the Freudo-Lacanian tradition in French over the past decade and now orient my work within a psychoanalytic framework.
Within the transferential bond specific to psychoanalysis, the work consists in sustaining a position that enables each person to encounter what, for them, constitutes a question: their desire, their singular way of being in the world, their repetitions, the mark of signifiers that affect them, and, as is so often formulated, that sense that “things are not going well,” “nothing works,” or “I keep going round in circles.”
I work with adults, in both French and English

I am a fully qualified Integrative Therapist & Counsellor, and an accredited member of the British Association For Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). This means that I adhere to the BACP’s ethical framework, therefore ethical principles, values and good practice standards are at the core of my practice.
My clients are central to the work that I do and it is my desire to help others in healing and feeling fulfilled in their lives that provided my pathway to becoming a therapist. I believe in recognising and facilitating wholeness in my work with individuals and so tailor my approach to individual needs. I always aim to offer an empathetic, non-judgmental space in which you can feel safe to bring or discover your authentic self.
I am an Integrative Therapist, which means that I often utilise many different ways of working with clients, although most importantly, I recognise the significance of the relationship between client and therapist in facilitating growth and healing. I believe that the human connection offered in therapeutic spaces holds the ability to enable change.
Therapy has the capacity to be as unique as the individuals who seek it. I do not operate with a ‘one size fits all’ approach and whilst I draw upon my knowledge of research and contemporary therapeutic studies, I do not attempt to manipulate and squeeze my clients into said models. I always aim to truly see the person in the therapeutic space.
I work with a broad range of clients and content, aiming to make the sessions that I offer as accessible as possible.

Finding a therapist you feel comfortable with is deeply personal. I believe that feeling safe, seen, heard and accepted can be an important part of meaningful change.
I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a Registered Member of the BACP. I work relationally and integratively, which means that rather than following one fixed way of working, I draw on different therapeutic perspectives while keeping you and your individual experience at the centre of the work.
My approach is relational, collaborative and individual to you.
I offer a space where you can explore your thoughts, emotions, relationships and experiences without feeling that you need to present yourself in a particular way. I will listen carefully to what you bring while also being curious about patterns, relationships and experiences that may help us understand what is happening for you.
As an integrative counsellor, my training allows me to draw from different therapeutic approaches depending on your needs. My work is influenced particularly by relational and attachment-informed thinking, alongside an awareness of the impact that trauma, environment and neurodivergence can have on the way we experience ourselves and the world.
For me, therapy is not about telling you what to do or deciding what something means for you. It is something we explore together, at a pace that feels manageable and meaningful to you.
I work with both present-day difficulties and experiences from the past, including situations where you may simply have a sense that something does not feel right but find it difficult to put into words.

Are you tired of trying to hold everything together and pretending to be ok? Does day to day life feels harder than it should? Do you find yourself unable to let go of repetitive thoughts or do you worry about how you come across to others? I aim to support you to gain an understanding of yourself, your patterns and needs, whilst offering you practical tools and ideas along the way. I help many clients struggling with issues like not feeling good enough or overwhelmed with stress. I have a particular interest in how the past shows up in the present in ways clients may not be aware of.
I know it can feel daunting seeking support. I place an emphasis on the quality of the relationship between us, as research shows this is the most significant aspect of successful therapy outcomes, rather than the type of therapy offered. Many years of working through my own life challenges also influences the way I work.
I have an interest in working with the nervous system and emotions in the body to access an inner wisdom for healing and recovery.

I am a qualified counselling psychologist and an accredited member of the British Psychological Society (BPS) and Health Care Professions Council (HCPC). I have worked in NHS mental health services over the past ten years with people struggling with depression, low mood, anxiety disorders, relationship problems, self-esteem issues, loss, work related stress and other difficulties. I have helped people with more complex, long and enduring problems such as chronic depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, emotional intensity and mood instability. There are many reasons why people seek psychological support, perhaps you feel stuck in one or more areas of your life or you have noticed unhelpful and hurtful patterns of thinking and behaviour, and would like this to be different. You may want to better understand where these patterns come from and how they can be different. Often life can ‘look good on paper’ and yet you still feel unhappy or that something is lacking in your life. In therapy we can explore what might be underlying a sense of discontent or unease. Once issues are brought to our attention we can more easily make sense of what is going on, in order to think about how things can change. I offer a safe space in which we can think together about what is happening and bring a new perspective to your difficulties and begin formulating a way forward. Psychological research consistently demonstrates that the quality of the therapeutic relationship is the primary indicator of positive outcome of therapy. I aim to develop warm collaborative relationships based on respect, curiosity and acceptance.
Psychological Therapy
There are a wide variety of therapeutic approaches and treatment models and at times this choice might feel confusing. I am including a brief explanation but we can discuss this further to identify what might be most helpful for you.
Integrative Counselling Psychology
Integrative counselling psychology draws on humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive models to focus on a person’s meaning making of their subjective experience. My integrative approach acknowledges the inherent difficulties but also the ever-present potential for growth and development in the human experience. It also allows therapy to be more flexible and inclusive according to an individual’s particular difficulties and therapeutic goals. This approach caters to both those who are interested in exploring the impact of past experiences on present ways of thinking and feeling whilst others may be after a more pragmatic set of skills to better manage those difficulties.
Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT)
Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT) is a time-limited, structured psychotherapy, with a growing evidence base in its effectiveness of treating depression. Typically it is delivered over 16 weekly sessions. It aims to help clarify the connection between presenting symptoms and what is happening in relationships by identifying a core repetitive pattern of relating that can be traced back to childhood. Once this pattern is identified, it will be used to make sense of difficulties in relationships in the here-and-now that could be contributing to psychological stress.
3rd Wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapies
3rd wave CBT extends the traditional cognitive behavioural theories that thinking, feeling and behaviour are all active contributors to low mood and anxiety, which can be resolved by changing what we do, think or feel. 3rd wave CBT draws on neurological research, decades on evolving psychological practice as well as ancient concepts such as compassion and mindfulness to develop a new way of working. This approach focuses less on the content of thoughts and pays more attention to the context, process and function of these internal experiences. 3rd wave CBT can offer more pragmatic skills and strategies to support different ways of responding to psychological pain and distress. This type of therapy may be useful for people suffering from low mood, anxiety, high expectations of themselves, or a tendency to ‘over think’.
Relationship Counselling and Couples Therapy
Relationships are vital for us as humans and when they go wrong this can cause a great deal of distress. Attending sessions together to focus on the couple can be an opportunity to consider what might be happening between the two partners. The sessions are an opportunity to safely explore areas of concern and allow partners to communicate with one another to identify and begin to understand underlying conflicts. Due to the complex nature of relationships people may find themselves responding to difficulties they may have had in their past as well as current challenges and this is useful to think about as a couple. As in individual therapy, couples may enter into therapyas a result of a crisis as well as at times of feeling stuck or simply a desire to improve the quality of the relationship.

Although I am a Clinical Psychologist, above all, I am human. And as a fellow human, when you come into the room with me, I will sit with you and listen to your experiences. I am deeply curious about how your unique story unfolds over time, not just your symptoms or diagnosis. I won’t rush you. Things take time, life is full of ups and downs, and I want to walk next to you in this journey.
I believe that a new therapy needs to be created for every human being. I work integratively, tailoring my approach to what you need and what feels right for you. I often ask what you prefer, because I believe that therapy should be something we build together, something that truly fits you.
I draw on a range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy, Compassion-Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Trauma-Focused Psychotherapy, Systemic and Family Therapy, as well as body-based approaches such as Embodied Psychotherapy and Dance Movement Therapy.
My approach is integrative and relational, with a focus on how past experiences, relationship patterns, and embodied processes shape present difficulties.
Based on your needs, I can offer a range of evidence-based techniques and tools, but I also provide something beyond that; a space for understanding yourself and your experiences. Therapy, to me, is not only about alleviating symptoms, but about listening to what those symptoms may be trying to communicate, so you can begin to live the life you truly want for yourself.
I offer a space that gives permission for feelings to be felt; for sadness, anger, fear, or guilt to surface in as much safety as possible. A space where the dark box of feelings can be opened, and where, in time, you may come to see that it was never as dark as it once seemed.

Hello and thank you for visiting my profile. I am a fully qualified Integrative Relational Counsellor committed to supporting you through whatever challenges, concerns or difficult feelings you may currently be facing. The relationship that we build will form the foundation of our work and together, we can create a collaborative space where you feel able to explore and make sense of your thoughts and feelings at your own pace.
I believe counselling provides an opportunity for you to reconnect with who you really are, fostering greater confidence, resilience and self-awareness. My approach is integrative, meaning I tailor our work to your unique needs by drawing from different but complementary therapeutic approaches, such as psychodynamic and humanistic. This allows us to explore the behaviours and patterns that may be holding you back and find new ways of relating to yourself and others.
Perhaps you are struggling with low self esteem and need support at a difficult time in your life? Or maybe you would like to explore difficult feelings such as anger, depression or anxiety? Are challenging relationships impacting your daily life? Or maybe painful suppressed childhood experiences and emotions are holding you back? These are all things that we can work together to explore within the context of your life story. Whatever your situation and needs I work with warmth, empathy and curiosity to enable you to develop the tools and insights needed to move forward and make choices that feel right for you.
I offer sessions in person in Wimbledon which offers easy access to the surrounding areas. I also work online. Sessions can be either short term (6-12 weeks) or long term

Hello, I’m Zsofia. I’m an integrative counsellor working with adults and couples in Wimbledon and online throughout the UK.
I support people experiencing anxiety, low mood, trauma, OCD-related difficulties, grief, low self-esteem and relationship problems. I have a particular interest in working with those affected by domestic abuse, sexual abuse, coercive control, narcissistic abuse and relational trauma - including the lasting impact on trust, boundaries, confidence and the body.
Many of my clients appear to be coping well on the outside but privately feel anxious, exhausted or uncertain about themselves. Some are trying to understand why they keep repeating certain patterns, while others are beginning to recognise how a past or present relationship has affected the way they see themselves.
I also work with couples who feel caught in recurring arguments, emotionally disconnected or unsure how to reach one another. Together, we can explore what lies beneath the conflict and develop more constructive ways of communicating and relating.
I do not believe that one therapeutic method fits everyone. My work is integrative, meaning I adapt the therapy to your needs rather than expecting you to fit a fixed formula.
Our work may involve understanding recurring patterns and beliefs, noticing how your body responds to stress, exploring different parts of yourself, or developing practical ways to manage overwhelming thoughts and emotions. I draw from person-centred therapy, CBT, somatic approaches, Internal Family Systems and trauma-informed practice, depending on what is most helpful for you.
For work-related stress and burnout, I may also use solution-focused approaches to help you identify what needs to change, recognise the resources you already have and develop realistic steps forward.
I will not rush you into discussing experiences before you are ready, but I will not simply sit back and leave you to carry the conversation alone. I aim to be engaged, thoughtful and honest, helping you understand not only what you are feeling, but why certain patterns may have developed.
In couples counselling, I use Gottman-informed tools alongside my integrative approach to help partners recognise unhelpful cycles, communicate more clearly, manage conflict and rebuild emotional connection.
I offer online counselling throughout the UK and face-to-face sessions in Wimbledon. A free 30-minute introductory call gives us an opportunity to discuss what brings you to therapy, ask questions and decide whether we are a good fit.

Art Psychotherapist, MA | HCPC-Registered Art Psychotherapist | BAAT Full Member
From £95 per session
I am a fully qualified Art Psychotherapist with extensive experience working with adults, young people and children. I offer both creative and talking therapy, with a flexible approach shaped around your individual needs, preferences and ways of communicating.
I specialise in supporting autistic, ADHD and other neurodivergent individuals, with an understanding of diverse sensory, communication and processing styles. If you are neurodivergent, my approach recognises this as part of your identity and way of experiencing the world, rather than something that needs to be changed or “fixed”.
Art Psychotherapy is an established and professionally regulated form of psychological therapy, informed by psychological theory, clinical practice and a growing body of research. It combines the therapeutic relationship with creative processes to support emotional expression, reflection and psychological understanding.
No artistic ability or previous experience with art is needed.
I am trained to work with both verbal and non-verbal forms of communication. This can be particularly valuable if experiences are difficult to put into words, if emotions feel overwhelming, or if thinking and communicating through images, materials, metaphor or sensory experience feels more accessible than talking alone.
You may be seeking support with a wide range of needs and experiences, including:
- Neurodivergence, including being autistic, ADHD or dyslexic - with support around self-understanding, identity, strengths, sensory needs, communication preferences, regulation and self-advocacy
- Anxiety
- Stress, overwhelm and burnout
- Depression and low mood
- Trauma and the impact of difficult or overwhelming experiences
- Grief, bereavement and loss
- Self-esteem, self-worth and confidence
- Relationships, connection and interpersonal difficulties
- Learning disabilities
- Change, transitions and periods of uncertainty
- Adoption, including experiences connected with identity, attachment and belonging
- Addiction
- Emotional wellbeing and mental health difficulties
- Infertility and fertility-related experiences
My approach is grounded in safety, trust, choice, collaboration and respect for your individual experience. I work at a pace that feels manageable for you, recognising that everyone differs in how they communicate, process emotions, build trust and make sense of their experiences.
No problem is too small. If it matters to you, it matters. Getting in touch can be the first step towards greater understanding, meaningful change and a different way of relating to yourself and your experiences.

My name is Rosella. I am a qualified Integrative Counsellor and a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), working in accordance with their Ethical Framework.
I offer a warm, compassionate, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings without judgment. Reaching out for therapy can come from many places—anxiety, confusion, loss, burnout, or a sense of feeling stuck. Whatever brings you here, I would be honoured to listen to your story.
I believe that you are the expert on your own life. My role is to support you in making sense of your experiences, helping you deepen your self-awareness, and empowering you to move towards a more authentic and meaningful way of living.
My work is grounded in an integrative, relational approach, meaning I draw from different therapeutic models and tailor the work to your individual needs. At the heart of my practice is the belief that a safe, trusting, and authentic relationship is key to meaningful therapeutic change.
Together, we may explore how your past experiences—including childhood—shape your current thoughts, behaviours, and relationships. This process can help bring greater self-understanding and self-compassion, enabling you to recognise and shift patterns that may no longer serve you.
I work at your pace, collaboratively and respectfully, supporting you to explore your emotions and experiences in a way that feels manageable and safe. With children, I use play therapy as a central part of the work, offering them a natural and creative way to express emotions and experiences that may be difficult to put into words.
When working with couples, I take a more structured approach, supporting partners to develop healthier communication, understand recurring relationship patterns, and build practical skills to navigate conflict and reconnect within the relationship.
Whether you are seeking short-term support or longer-term therapy, my aim is to help you build insight, resilience, and a stronger connection to yourself and others.

I have worked within the creative industries all my adult life, in the fast paced corporate side of this world, whilst raising 3 children. I am a survivor of domestic abuse. So I really do understand burnout and overwhelm on every level.
Having put in all my energies to my work, relationship, children and surviving abuse, I was never able to prioritise myself or ever feel I was enough. I did not look after myself on any level. It has been an exhausting and painful journey, but to a new and prosperous life, where I have learnt to thrive and understood my strength and capabilities.
I want to share that gift with you, and help you reach your potential, to enhance your resilience and live your best life free from anxiety, physical and emotional constraints and limiting beliefs.
Elevate your goals and potential and thrive in every area of your life. Everything you want is available to you.
I use a combination of Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy, Neuro-linguistic programming and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy to bring rapid outcomes and resolution for an issue often in just a few sessions. My coaching programmes run alongside this if a client chooses this type of approach instead of just the therapy itself. And we decide on the goals for the time period and I devise a coaching programme around this to successfully achieve this desired outcomes.

I understand that deciding to come to therapy can feel daunting. My aim is to create a warm, safe and confidential space where you can feel comfortable being yourself, without judgement, and where there is time and space to explore what may be troubling you.
I believe that feeling genuinely listened to and understood is an important part of the therapeutic process. I take time to get to know each person and understand their individual circumstances, rather than taking a one-size-fits-all approach.
I have extensive experience working with clients from a wide range of backgrounds, including trainee psychotherapists and professionals working in the NHS, police, public services and corporate organisations.
Whether you are going through a difficult period, struggling with relationships or work, or simply feel that something in your life needs to change, I offer a space to pause, reflect and develop a deeper understanding of yourself.
Therapy can provide an opportunity to make sense of what you are experiencing, explore patterns that may be affecting you, and consider new ways of moving forward. My approach is collaborative and centred around you, your experiences and what you would like to achieve from therapy.
I work primarily from a psychodynamic perspective, exploring how our past experiences and relationships can continue to influence how we think, feel and behave in the present.
Therapy provides a confidential and non-judgemental space where we can explore what is troubling you and begin to understand patterns that may be leaving you feeling stuck, anxious or unhappy. Together, we can look beneath the immediate difficulties and consider what may be contributing to them.
I believe that every person is unique, and I tailor our work to your individual needs, circumstances and goals. For some, therapy may provide support through a difficult period; for others, it can offer an opportunity to explore longstanding concerns, relationships or experiences in greater depth.

Perhaps something in your life doesn't feel right.
You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or low. Perhaps your mind rarely switches off, you're struggling with a relationship, coping with grief or loss, dealing with work or family pressures, or facing a change you weren't expecting.
You might find yourself worrying about the future, going over things from the past or wondering why the same feelings or patterns keep returning. Or perhaps there isn't one particular problem. You simply feel stuck, disconnected from yourself or know that something needs to change.
You don't need to have it all worked out before you come to counselling. We can start with where you are.
I have experience supporting adults with anxiety, stress, panic, low mood, grief and loss, trauma and difficult past experiences, relationship and family difficulties, loneliness, self-esteem, overwhelm and significant life changes.
For me, counselling isn't about becoming a different person. It can give you the space to understand yourself more deeply, recognise what you need and consider how you want to move forward.
My approach is primarily person-centred. I believe you are the expert in your own life, even at times when you may feel unsure, overwhelmed or lost.
I offer a warm, confidential and non-judgemental space where you can talk openly about what is happening for you. I won't tell you what you should do or rush you towards solutions. Instead, I'll work alongside you, helping you explore your thoughts, feelings and experiences at a pace that feels comfortable for you.
You don't need to arrive with the right words or know exactly what you want to talk about. There is no pressure to disclose anything before you feel ready.
I also draw on psychodynamic thinking where it may be helpful. Exploring how earlier experiences and relationships may influence how you feel, respond or relate to others today can help recurring patterns begin to make sense.
Greater self-understanding can help you recognise what you would like to change and what you might be ready to accept about yourself. Sometimes moving forward involves change. Sometimes it involves becoming more accepting of ourselves.
Often, it's a combination of both.
I offer 50-minute face-to-face counselling sessions in West Hampstead at £80 per session and online counselling at £60 per 50-minute session. Online counselling enables me to work with clients across the UK.
I also offer a free 15-minute introductory telephone conversation. This gives you the opportunity to tell me a little about what has brought you to counselling, ask any questions and get a sense of whether working together feels right for you. There is no obligation to book afterwards.
Sometimes the first step is simply having a conversation.

There are many reasons you might be considering therapy. You may be feeling anxious, overwhelmed or low, struggling in a relationship, questioning where you are in life, or finding yourself caught in patterns that seem to keep repeating. You might understand some of what is happening but still find it difficult to change, or perhaps you simply know that something doesn’t feel quite right. You don’t need to have it all figured out before coming to therapy.
I offer a warm and supportive space where we can slow things down and begin to make sense of what has been happening for you. I know that talking openly about yourself can feel vulnerable, particularly at the beginning, so I place a lot of importance on building a relationship where you can gradually feel comfortable being yourself, without pressure to say the “right” thing or be a particular way.
I’m naturally curious about people and interested in what lies beneath the surface — not only what you are feeling, but why certain experiences affect you in the way they do, why particular patterns keep returning, and how your past may still be influencing your present. I’m warm and attentive, but I won’t only sit back and listen. I’ll be alongside you in the process, asking questions, sharing what I notice and helping you look at things from perspectives that may not have been available to you before.
I work with anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, low self-esteem, ADHD and OCD-related difficulties, as well as attachment, relationships, sexuality and identity. I also work with couples experiencing conflict, distance, communication difficulties, loss of trust or intimacy. Whatever has brought you here, therapy can be a place to understand yourself more deeply and begin finding a way forward that feels right for you.
As an integrative therapist, I use various therapeutic approaches. Therapy is shaped around you, rather than expecting you to fit into a particular model. Some people want to understand their past, some need help with what is happening right now, and many find that the two are more connected than they initially realised.
We might explore experiences and relationships that have shaped how you see yourself, the patterns that appear in your relationships, or the ways you have learned to cope when things feel difficult. We can also work more practically with anxiety, difficult thoughts and emotions, boundaries, communication or situations you are facing in your life now. I draw on relational, attachment-informed, humanistic, psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioural approaches, depending on what feels most useful for you.
I’m particularly interested in understanding rather than judging the parts of ourselves we often wish we could simply get rid of. Anxiety, self-criticism, perfectionism, people-pleasing, avoidance or withdrawing from others can become frustrating, but they often developed for a reason. Understanding where these patterns came from and what they have been trying to do for you can create more choice about whether you still need them in the same way.
Therapy doesn’t have to be only about what is wrong. It can also help you recognise what matters to you, reconnect with parts of yourself that may have become lost or overlooked, and develop a kinder and more trusting relationship with yourself. My hope is that, over time, you leave with greater clarity and confidence in yourself — and more freedom to make choices, build relationships and create a life that feels genuinely yours.

Perhaps life feels difficult at the moment, or you’re finding yourself overwhelmed, stuck, disconnected or unsure of what you need. Maybe you’ve spent a long time managing on your own, looking after other people or being hard on yourself.
I offer a calm, warm space where you don’t need to have everything figured out. I’m interested in getting to know you as a whole person, and in creating a relationship where you can feel comfortable enough to be yourself.
I’m naturally curious, open and down-to-earth; you can come as you are, and work at your own pace.
I offer sessions in person in Wimbledon or online. I also offer therapy outdoors as sometimes talking side by side, or walking in the open air, can feel more natural than sitting opposite someone in a therapy room.
At the heart of my work is the relationship we build together. I believe that feeling genuinely heard, accepted and understood can create the space to explore things that may have felt difficult to face alone.
I work in a person-centred and relational way, starting with you rather than trying to fit you into a particular model. We might explore what is happening in your life now, look at experiences from your past and how they may still be shaping you, or pay attention to what you notice in your body, emotions and relationships.
I’m particularly interested in the ways we can learn to be hard on ourselves, hide parts of who we are or become caught in patterns that once helped us but no longer do. Sometimes parts-based work, mindfulness or other experiential approaches can help us understand these patterns with a little more curiosity and compassion.
I don’t see therapy as something that needs to “fix” you. There may be things you want to change, but I’m equally interested in helping you understand and accept yourself more fully. There is no set route through therapy; we can work at a pace that feels manageable and shape the work together.

I'm a qualified systemic family and couple psychotherapist and mental health clinician with over twenty years of clinical experience of working in the NHS mental health services, offering support to families, groups, couples, young people and adults who are facing mental health difficulties, trauma and emotional dysregulation.
I'm registered with the Association of Family Therapy and accredited with the UK Council for Psychotherapy. I have an MSc in Systemic Family and Couple Psychotherapy. I currently work in the NHS child and adolescent mental health service (CAMHS) and eating disorders service. I also manage my own private practice.
I’m experienced in working with couples, families, individuals, adolescents and children, providing evidence-based psychological interventions. I have experience of working in Local Authorities children’s services, supporting many different types of families (nuclear, adoptive, fostered and blended). I work with families, supporting parents and care givers with understanding their child’s needs and connecting with them in healthy ways.
I also have extensive experience of working with couples, where there have been issues in relation to trust, communication and intimacy. I have experience of working with couples and families before and after separation and stepfamily joining, and where there have been affairs.
I am also experienced in working with families and couples in high conflict separations involving the family law system. I’m experienced in supporting families and couples through this process, which may involve liaising with social workers, children’s guardians, CAFCAS workers, family lawyers and in the preparation of court reports.
I also work with individuals and couples from the LGBTQ+ community and have experience of working with people who want to explore their identity relating to gender and sexuality.
I offer both short-term therapy and long-term therapy to couples, families and individuals. I have access to consulting rooms, and I’m also experienced in delivering therapy using on-line platforms.
My approach is warm, caring, compassionate and collaborative with people. I work hard to provide a safe, non-judgmental, confidential approach. This enables people to explore their dilemmas regarding their relationships with people, family members and partners, opening new possibilities and communication. My approach is influenced by attachment narratives and cultural differences. I have had the privilege of working with many people and families from a broad range of backgrounds. I ensure therapy is inclusive and adapted to your ethnicity, culture, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, age and disability.
My main approach is systemic psychotherapy, which is a strengths-based approach that seeks to help families and couples work through problems and difficulties together and work towards change. My clinical practice with families is informed by different models such as Attachment Based Family Therapy (ABFT), Emotionally Focused Family Therapy (EFFT), Narrative Family Therapy, Non-Violent Resistant model (NVR), Circle of Security (COS) and Family Therapy for Anorexia Nervosa (FTAN).
My clinical practice with couples is informed by Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFT) and Exeter Model. Systemic psychotherapy focuses on how families and couples interact and relate to one another, and how they are understood and experienced by one another.
In sessions I work with people to explore their relationships. I work with people to unpick unhelpful patterns of communication - or issues of loss and life transition difficulties - through which dilemmas, distress, emotions and confusion can be resolved by identifying unhelpful thought processes and patterns of behaviour that may have developed over time, and may be contributing towards you feeling stuck and frustrated.
In sessions I work with people to improve their understanding in their relationships and enhance their communication, promoting resilience and change, creating new coping strategies - and the process of reconnection within the relationships of the people involved.
Research shows that having strong, close relationships leads to better health and more positive outcomes in life. Regardless of whether you are an individual, couple or family this approach provides a way forward.

My interest in therapy is closely connected to my curiosity about people and the complexities of being human. I have a longstanding interest in philosophy, particularly questions of identity, meaning and how we make sense of our experiences. I'm interested in the ways our relationships, personal histories and wider social worlds shape how we understand ourselves.
I'm also interested in creativity and self-expression, and how these can be connected to our sense of identity and place in the world. These interests inform how I approach my work as a therapist, with an emphasis on curiosity, reflection and understanding each person's experience in its own terms.
My approach is psychodynamic, exploring how past experiences and unconscious patterns can influence our present feelings, relationships and sense of self. I am interested in the ways we adapt to life's challenges, sometimes developing patterns that once helped us cope but may no longer serve us.
My background in philosophy informs my interest in identity, freedom and meaning, while my work with people in the creative arts has deepened my appreciation of self-expression and finding one's own voice. I work collaboratively, with curiosity and sensitivity to your individual experience.

My name is Dawn (she / they) & I am a social activist art therapist providing arts psychotherapy & sex positive therapy to adults in West & Southwest London.
At the heart of my therapeutic work, I am grounded in integrative & humanistic theoretical approaches, & specialise in working in a trauma-informed way with individuals with complex presentations & trauma.
The majority of my work is with marginalized & stigmatized individuals / communities (forensic mental health, LGBTIA+ & sex workers).
The aim for therapy is to co-create a space, where you can be your authentic self by feeling seen, heard & understood - no matter the issue or theme you bring, finding ways to empower yourself in your life.
ARTS PSYCHOTHERAPY
The arts are an alternative approach to traditional talking therapy & can provide a deeper insight when it is hard to find the words for your experiences & feelings.
In my sessions, the seven art forms are available for you;
* Art
* Drama / Puppetry
* Sculpture / Clay
* Poetry
* Sand-play
* Music
* Bodywork / Movement
No previous experience or artistic skill with the arts are needed.
As first, the arts might feel weird to use to communicate your needs. To help familiarise yourself with the art materials, I will gently guide you to different media to find the most fitting way to explore your inner & outer world.
SEX POSITIVE THERAPY
In additional to my art psychotherapy approach, I also provide sex-positive therapy & work with sexual problems.
Using a bio-psycho-social theoretical model, I can provide supportive therapeutic interventions to the following areas;
* Gender, Sexual & Relationship Diversity (GSRD)
* Queer sex
* Kink, Fetish and BDSM practices
I can also combine my art psychotherapy practice to provide artistic ways to explore the above areas.
SEX WORKER FRIENDLY THERAPIST
I fully support sex worker rights, safety & decriminalisation of sex work. I provide low-cost therapy to sex workers (short/long term).
NUM packages (x6 funded therapy sessions) with me are available via the National Ugly Mugs website > mental health support > contact casework team.
SOCIAL ACTIVIST THERAPIST
Therapy is political & I do not shy away from social topics in therapy. I recognise the collective distress from global injustices, capitalism, mental health issues, social & cultural oppression may affect you in many areas of your life.
I believe therapy is a great way to explore feelings about your own social injustices, by finding ways to resource yourself and manage the discomfort / hardships this may bring. Through this exploration you may find ethical & creative ways to express this outside the therapy room too.

I am a registered and experienced counsellor, an accredited member of the BACP with experience of working with a variety of issues and age groups, as well as over twenty years working with young people in education. I offer both long term and time limited counselling in a situation where we can work together on many challenges that you may be facing. I work both online and in person with adults and young people. I offer both talking therapy and EMDR and am always happy to discuss with you what would be helpful
Counselling can help by exploring some of the roots of present day difficulties and looking at new ways of self acceptance and relating to others. Sometimes it can explore a feeling that something is just 'not right' and you are struggling to connect with others or make the most of opportunities. I have experience in helping people through feelings of loss, or coping with changes in their lives.
I have also worked with those who feel they need to process past experience and trauma in order to move on successfully. In my experience, one of the most important features of one to one counselling is the ability to have a positive experience of relating to others and, the most important factor, allowing the chance of being listened to and understood.

I am a psychodynamically trained therapist. My professional journey has been rich and varied, spanning a career as a Commercial Solicitor and an Executive Director in the not-for-profit sector.
Like many, I have navigated my own life challenges and therapy has been a profound tool in helping me live more intentionally, making choices that align with who I truly am. This personal experience fuels my passion for helping others do the same.
I offer a safe, supportive and non judgmental space, where we will build a trusting relationship to explore what has brought you to therapy. Together, we will unpack your thoughts and feelings, gaining insight into how they shape your decisions and influence the way you live your life.
As a psychodynamic therapist, I believe that many of the struggles we face stem from early experiences that shape how we see ourselves, others and the world. These unconscious patterns can limit our potential and make life's inevitable challenges at times feel overwhelming.
In our work together we will look at those early experiences to understand how past relationships and patterns may have shaped your ways of thinking, feeling and protecting yourself. Sometimes, these early coping strategies no longer serve us well in adult life, especially in our personal and professional relationships.
I won't offer advice or solutions, but I will listen deeply, provide insights and gently challenge certain patterns of thought when appropriate. The goal is to help you reflect on whether these long held ways of being still support you, or whether they may be limiting your potential, by keeping you stuck.
Therapy can be challenging and at times painful, as we work through and process past hurts and difficult emotions. However, the process of becoming more self-aware, of living a conscious, intentional life rather than reacting to old patterns, can be deeply rewarding.
Our work together will be collaborative. In this space, all parts of you can be explored with curiosity and care. Healing past wounds and gaining clarity and agency, can open the door to you creating a more fulfilling, considered, self-compassionate and authentic life.

I especially enjoy working with young people and clients seeking support through life's transitions, and I have a significant experience working with neurodivergence, early bereavement, identity, anxiety and depression.
In addition to an open, trauma-informed approach, I blend psychoeducation, mindfulness, and creative exercises to empower you in your healing. This also helps you understand your body's responses to stress, fostering resilience and independence. Together, we'll strike a balance between nurture and challenge, creating a safe, supportive space for your growth.

I am Roberta Crescenzo, an experienced psychotherapeutic counsellor offering both short-term and longer-term therapy in South West London and online. I have extensive experience working with adults from diverse backgrounds and with a wide range of personal, emotional and relational difficulties.
My approach is integrative, which means I draw on different therapeutic perspectives according to each person’s individual needs, circumstances and goals. I offer a warm, safe and confidential space where you can explore what is troubling you at a pace that feels right for you. Attachment theory is an important part of my therapeutic approach. I am particularly interested in how our early experiences and relationships can influence the way we understand ourselves, relate to others and respond to difficulties in our adult lives. Exploring attachment patterns can help us develop a deeper understanding of recurring relationship difficulties, anxiety, insecurity, emotional responses and ways of coping, while creating opportunities for greater self-awareness and more fulfilling relationships. Alongside attachment-based therapy, I draw on Person-Centred, Psychodynamic, Gestalt, CBT, Transactional Analysis, Mindfulness and Transpersonal approaches. I work collaboratively, adapting the therapy to the individual rather than following a fixed model. My aim is to help you make sense of your experiences, understand patterns that may be affecting your present life and develop greater choice in how you respond. I have a long history of working as a counsellor and psychotherapist across the private and voluntary sectors.
I have a particular interest in supporting people experiencing anxiety, relationship difficulties, inner conflict and the pressures of everyday life, including those trying to balance their emotional wellbeing with working and family life. Therapy can be helpful for many different reasons, and there is no single way of approaching it.
I offer short-term counselling focused on a specific concern as well as open-ended psychotherapy for those who wish to explore deeper or longer-standing patterns.
Whatever brings you to therapy, I believe that feeling understood, respected and safe is an important starting point for meaningful therapeutic work. I place great importance on clarity, professional boundaries and ethical practice, and aim to provide therapy that is thoughtful, respectful and grounded.

It can be hard to know where to start when life feels overwhelming. I’m Felicity, and I believe meaningful change begins in a relationship where you feel truly heard and accepted. My therapeutic approach is person-centred. I trust in people’s capacity to make sense of their experiences when met with empathy and acceptance. I am curious about how you experience your life and attentive to what unfolds between us. Whatever brings you to therapy, I will meet you as you are. I have experience in working with times of transition, particularly moments when life shifts, whether expected or unexpected. This might include experiences of grief or loss, becoming a parent, changes in identity, relationships beginning or ending, or periods of uncertainty about direction or purpose. I am registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) as a psychotherapist in the final stages of training. I currently have online availability on Tuesday afternoons. Please reach out if you would like to discuss starting therapy!

My sessions offer a warm, supportive space where you can bring whatever feels most present for you. Some people arrive with clear concerns; others begin with a sense that something isn’t quite right. Both are welcome.
The therapy room is a space to speak freely and at your own pace. I aim to support you in understanding your experiences.
Over time, the work we do together might open up new ways of understanding yourself. This deepening awareness can bring about change in many areas of life, from internal beliefs and self-perception to relationships and everyday decisions. Clients often experience more ease in trusting their own sense of what matters, feeling less shaped by others’ expectations and more able to respond to life with compassion and inner strength.

I am a psychodynamic counsellor, ADHD-CCSP Coach, and Registered Member of the BACP. I hold an MA in Special Needs and Inclusion and specialise in supporting neurodivergent adults and women navigating menopause and midlife transitions.
Many of the people I work with come to therapy feeling overwhelmed, emotionally exhausted, stuck in recurring patterns, or struggling with changes in their identity, relationships, or sense of self. My approach combines psychodynamic understanding with a compassionate, collaborative style, offering a safe space to explore both current difficulties and the deeper emotional experiences that may be shaping them.
I am particularly interested in helping people make sense of neurodivergence, burnout, masking, identity changes, relationship challenges, and life transitions. My aim is to help clients develop greater self-understanding, emotional resilience, and a more compassionate relationship with themselves.
I work psychodynamically, helping clients understand the emotional and relational patterns that may be contributing to feelings of overwhelm, burnout, anxiety, identity struggles, or relationship difficulties. Together, we create a safe and compassionate space to explore your experiences at your own pace, with the aim of developing greater self-awareness, emotional resilience, and a more authentic relationship with yourself and others.

Hi, I'm Joelle — an integrative counsellor working with people who've often felt like they don't quite fit the mould. I know what it's like to feel like an outsider, and that lived understanding shapes how I work: with warmth, honesty, and without an agenda to make you into someone more "acceptable." My practice is neurodivergence-affirming and LGBTQIA+ affirming at its core, not as an add-on but as the foundation everything else is built on.
Being integrative means I don't ask you to fit into one therapeutic model — I draw on a range of approaches and adapt them to what actually works for you. Some sessions might be more talk-led and reflective; others more practical and concrete, depending on what you need in the moment. I think of it less like following a manual and more like building the therapy around the person in front of me: your history, your neurotype, your identity, and the way you naturally process things.
